May 2024 - I 'are' a graduate!

I can't remember where I saw the quote (maybe on a t-shirt?) that said "Last year I couldn't spell graduate, now I are one", but it is one of my most favorite of all time, and consistently makes me crack up.  Why?  Maybe the irony that as students we all have gone through the schooling process, but do we really feel like we learned everything we were supposed to learn by the time we graduate?  There is a lot of press about 'diploma' mills, but isn't every school diploma have some 'fake' in it?  Regardless, the seasons end, and a new season comes, and that is what I like most about the graduation process.  You either graduate, or 'back to the drawing board' as they say.

April 2024

Ok, I started this blog in March with this:  Wow, is it March already?  Spring is coming!  Already turned on the air conditioning last week, so I'm concerned about the number of days over 90 we will see in the summer!  ...but March flew by and since I had so much going on, I didn't get to complete it!  Maybe I'll do two this month.  It's now been over 2 months since my last day at my previous employer and I'm having a wonderful time.  My wife says things about me being 'unemployed' like I have lots of time but I feel as busy as ever (just no paycheck😊)!  Things continue to develop, and my 5 focuses have changed a bit.

Well, as of Feb 6 I am officially unemployed!  That hasn't happened since college and after college I was right off to the Air Force.  (Ok, well there was about two weeks of unemployment between when I was let go at my first job in Nashville, and was hired at Caterpillar, but that barely counts. :) )
